Singer Song Ji-eun, 36, a former member of the group Secret, has been drawn into the controversy surrounding her husband, YouTuber Park Wi, 39, after he posted closed-circuit television footage of a fall he suffered while disembarking from a KTX train.

Comments criticizing Park's handling of the incident have been flooding Song's social media posts in recent days.

Some users left remarks such as "Please keep your husband in check" and "Didn't you care about what he was uploading?" — redirecting their anger toward Song.

Amid the pile-on, calls for restraint from indiscriminate personal attacks have grown louder.

Kim Dong-wan, 46, a member of the group Shinhwa and an actor, on Saturday urged the public to stop the indiscriminate criticism, saying it was necessary "to look at the situation from the perspective of Park Wi, who has a disability."

Park posted the CCTV footage on Friday to his YouTube channel "Weeracle," citing the need to prevent safety accidents and improve accessibility conditions. The clip showed him descending a boarding ramp in his wheelchair when a wheel caught on the foot of a social service worker, causing him to fall.

Although the worker apologized at the scene, Park drew criticism for making the employee's mistake a public issue, with some calling his response excessive.

As the controversy grew, Park deleted the video and issued an apology. "I viewed the mistake that occurred while someone was helping me only in a negative light," he said. "I failed to consider the worker's position, and the way I communicated it was immature."

Park was diagnosed with full-body paralysis after falling from a building in 2014, but has since regained upper-body movement through sustained rehabilitation.

He received the Seoul Metropolitan Government's welfare award in 2022 in recognition of his contributions to raising disability awareness and promoting human rights. He married Song, a former member of the group Secret, in 2024.
