Former professional gamer and poker player Im Yo-hwan, 46, has revealed he may soon have a son-in-law only six years his senior.

The disclosure came in a video posted to the YouTube channel run by Im's wife, actor Kim Ga-yeon, 54. The video was titled "Not a normal family — a dopamine-crazed couple (Kim Ga-yeon, Im Yo-hwan, Hong Jin-ho, Faker, prospective son-in-law)."

In the video, Kim said that after taking a family photo, the next member to join the family would be a "prospective son-in-law."

Kim's eldest daughter, who turns 30 this year, is dating a man 10 years her senior — making him 40, just six years older than Im. The daughter was born from Kim's previous marriage and is 16 years younger than Im, and her relationship with an older man has created the unusual age dynamic.

"Our family has all kinds of age gaps," Im said. "I joked that if things worked out between the two of them, I'd end up being a 'father-in-law bro' — and that's becoming reality."

He added that when the prospective son-in-law visits, they drink together. "He calls us mom and dad. On paper the family tree goes one way, but it feels more like we're just older and younger friends," Im added.

Kim also expressed her approval, saying the prospective son-in-law is a good cook.

Kim married in 1995 and had her eldest daughter before divorcing in 1998. She later married Im, who is eight years her junior, in 2011, and the couple have an 11-year-old daughter together.
