Eunpyeong-gu in Seoul will launch a tailored career consulting program for middle-aged residents starting Sept. 8, aimed at helping those seeking to change careers or return to the workforce.
The program targets 30 Eunpyeong-gu residents between the ages of 40 and 64, combining group sessions with small-group counseling to build practical job-seeking skills. It will run in two rounds of 15 participants each.
The curriculum spans four sessions covering employment trends for middle-aged workers, resume writing and editing, AI-assisted career planning and mock interviews.
Participants will also receive support for professional headshots and portrait photos for their resumes.
Residents wishing to apply can register online via QR code. If applications exceed capacity, participants will be selected by random draw. For more information, residents can visit the Eunpyeong-gu website or contact the Youth and Middle-Age Hope Division.
"It is important to provide practical support so that middle-aged residents can objectively assess their careers and skills and translate that into reemployment," district mayor Kim Mi-kyung said. "Through this program, we will actively support participants in adapting to the changing employment environment."
