Police are investigating after two middle-aged brothers were found dead at an apartment in Uijeongbu, Gyeonggi Province.

According to police and fire department authorities, a report came in around 10 a.m. Friday that a person had fallen from a 15-story apartment building in Uijeongbu.

At the scene, a man in his 50s identified as A, a resident of the 15th floor, was found after falling. Emergency responders transported him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Fire department personnel forced open the door to A's unit to check on the residence. Inside, they found A's younger brother, a man in his 40s identified as B, also dead.

B's body bore stab wounds and other signs consistent with homicide, according to authorities.

The two men are believed to have been living together in the unit.

A forensic examination of the scene found no signs of outside intrusion, and no suicide note was discovered.

Police are questioning family members and neighbors to determine the exact circumstances of the incident.
