Renault Korea said Friday it reached a tentative agreement with its main union during the 15th round of formal negotiations on its 2026 wage and collective bargaining talks, held Thursday.

The two sides wrapped up the session after 16 hours of negotiations, agreeing to work together to help the company overcome its difficult business conditions.

Renault Korea began negotiations on April 27 and has held 15 rounds of formal and working-level talks over the past four months.

The tentative agreement will go to a general membership vote Wednesday, following a briefing session for union members.

If ratified, it would mark the third wage and collective bargaining settlement among domestic automakers, after GM Korea and KG Mobility.

Hyundai Motor, meanwhile, is struggling to advance its own wage negotiations — its union launched a full strike Friday. Kia's union is set to begin a partial strike Wednesday.
