Yeongdeungpo-gu District Mayor Cho Yu-jin visited the Singil Zone 2 urban public housing complex project site Thursday afternoon alongside Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Yun-deok.
Cho and Kim toured the site with project officials before moving to the Singil Zone 2 residents' representative council office, where they shared updates on the project timeline — including compensation, relocation and demolition schedules — and exchanged views with residents.
The Singil Zone 2 urban public housing complex project is a development initiative to supply 1,332 housing units in the area around 205-136 Singil-dong. Compensation consultations are underway with a target ground-breaking date of 2028.
"I hope the project moves forward quickly so that residents can enjoy a comfortable and happy home," Cho said. "We will provide swift and proper support so that Singil Zone 2 can establish itself as a model case for housing supply."
