A post describing foreign objects — including a napkin and a rubber band — found in takeout food has sparked outrage online.

On Thursday, a user identified as A posted on the online community Bobaedream about a recent experience at a pork bone hangover soup chain in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, drawing widespread attention.

A said that while eating takeout pork bone soup from a restaurant she had patronized for 10 years, she found a crumpled napkin and a rubber band lodged between the bones.

She called the restaurant to report the incident, and the following day a staff member sent her a video and photos she described as shocking.

The footage showed what happened after a restaurant employee received A's phone order for two servings of pork bones with extra broth. The moment the call ended, the employee calmly carried a container of deboned pork — taken from a table — into the kitchen and ladled broth into it.

A restaurant representative explained that the employee had apparently been tidying up items including plastic wrap at the table and discarded a rubber band into the bone container in the process.

A suspected the napkin had ended up in the food through a similar route — tossed into the bone container before making its way into her order.

"A napkin that someone may have used to wipe their mouth or blow their nose ended up in the bone container, and my family ate it without knowing," she wrote. "I am furious."

She added that no one from management had called to apologize — only a staff member had reached out — and said she was outraged by the chain's handling of the situation. She said she had filed a complaint with the local district office.

Commenters reacted with disgust and skepticism. "Do you really think this only happened once or twice?" one wrote. Others urged her to report the incident to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, while some speculated the employee may have acted out of spite. "A lawsuit is the only answer," another commenter said.
