Lotte Innovate is moving to broaden payment access for its electric vehicle charging subsidiary EVSIS, linking the service with the Lotte Group's integrated membership program to make charging more convenient for users.

Lotte Innovate announced Thursday that EVSIS has integrated its payment system with L.POINT, the loyalty currency operated by Lotte Members.

The integration follows EVSIS's earlier tie-up with Samsung Wallet, extending the range of payment options available to users and aiming to reduce the financial burden of EV charging.

L.POINT is the Lotte Group's unified membership program run by Lotte Members, with roughly 45 million members — the largest base of any such program in South Korea. EVSIS is tapping that broad reach to connect more users to its charging network.

EVSIS members can now purchase exclusive charging vouchers using L.POINT directly within the EVSIS app, with no cap on how many points they can apply per transaction. Customers can use accumulated points to offset the cost of EV charging.

In addition, when customers pay standard charging fees or purchase a subscription plan by credit card through the EVSIS app, 0.5 percent of the transaction amount is automatically credited as L.POINT. Users can also spend their L.POINT freely at EVSIS charging stations nationwide by scanning a QR code for in-app payment on-site.

To mark the L.POINT integration, EVSIS is offering four exclusive charging vouchers — purchasable only with L.POINT — at a 20 percent discount through Nov. 30.

"The introduction of charging voucher purchases using L.POINT allows customers to make better use of their membership points," EVSIS CEO Oh Young-sik said. "We will continue to prioritize member convenience through a range of benefits and diverse platform partnerships, keeping charging accessibility and ease of use at the forefront for our customers."
