Shinsegae department store announced Wednesday it is holding a "5-mazing Card Festa" with five partner card companies through Aug. 30, offering customers interest-free installment plans, Shinbaek Reward points, coupons and cashback benefits.

The five participating card companies are Citi, Samsung, Shinhan, Hana and BC Baro. Both existing cardholders and new applicants are eligible to take part. The promotion runs across four months: February, June, August and October.

This edition features enhanced interest-free installment benefits by card company. Customers who spend 2 million won ($1,410) or more at a single brand using the Shinsegae Shinhan Card "Best Fit" card from Thursday through Sunday will receive up to 24 months of interest-free installments.

Through Aug. 31, BC Baro Card offers up to 12 months interest-free on purchases of 50,000 won or more; Hana Card offers up to six months on purchases of 1 million won or more, or up to three months on purchases of 50,000 won or more; Samsung and Shinhan Card offer up to five months on purchases of 50,000 won or more; and Citi Card offers up to three months on purchases of 50,000 won or more.

From Thursday through Aug. 30, customers who spend a qualifying amount on a single watch or jewelry brand using a Shinsegae partner card will earn Shinbaek Reward points redeemable like cash.

Through Aug. 30, customers purchasing from a single children's brand with a partner card will receive gift vouchers worth 10 percent of their purchase amount. From Thursday through Aug. 30, those buying from a single living-goods brand with a Citi, Hana or BC Baro card will receive vouchers worth 5 to 10 percent of their purchase.

Seven types of coupons usable with partner cards are also available for download on the Shinsegae department store app. The promotion includes a tie-in with Via Shinsegae: customers who buy travel products during the 5-mazing Card Festa period will receive discount coupons for up to 10 percent off in Shinbaek Reward points, and those who purchase travel products online with a partner Samsung or Hana card will receive up to 3 percent cashback.
