Keimyung College University signed an MOU with Daegu Gangseoseo Fire Station on Friday to cooperate on training specialized personnel in fire safety and emergency response and strengthening field response capabilities. The signing ceremony was held in the second-floor conference room of the Dongsan Building on campus.

Keimyung College University President Park Seung-ho and Daegu Gangseoseo Fire Station Chief Shin Gi-seon attended the ceremony, along with officials from both institutions.

Under the agreement, the two sides will jointly operate a fire department-university integrated simulation training center, share the university's advanced training equipment and facilities for the education and training of fire service civil servants, and collaborate on developing and running joint curricula in fire safety.

The two institutions plan to combine Keimyung College University's advanced practical training infrastructure with the fire station's extensive field experience and expertise to strengthen the hands-on capabilities required at actual disaster and safety scenes.

"We will do our utmost to further strengthen field-centered education and practical training, nurturing talented professionals equipped with the expertise and practical skills demanded at disaster and safety scenes," President Park said.

Fire Station Chief Shin said the station would actively share educational and training resources and expertise with Keimyung College University, and work to expand field training and integrated simulation education to enhance community safety capabilities.
