Modicar, a subsidiary of AutoHands, has overhauled its website and mobile app to let users search for vehicles — including electric vehicles, SUVs and imports — and compare estimated monthly fees and delivery timelines on a single screen.

The company announced Wednesday that it had redesigned the user interface and navigation flow of its official website and app, focusing on helping users compare long-term rental and lease conditions and available discounts after finding a vehicle they want.

The most significant change is a "Browse My Preferences" feature placed on the main screen. It organizes vehicles into five categories — electric vehicles, discounted special-price vehicles, SUVs, imports, and no-credit-check or low-credit vehicles — so users can start exploring the product group that interests them most.

The redesign changes how users search: rather than selecting a specific model first, they can now find candidate vehicles based on budget, intended use or credit conditions.

Dedicated sections for electric vehicles, SUVs and imports display popularity rankings by model alongside information on long-term rental and lease availability, discount offers, delivery conditions and estimated monthly fees. Users can also jump directly to a detailed quote for any vehicle they choose.

The quoting process has also been simplified. Once a user selects a vehicle and chooses fuel type, rating and trim in sequence, the price for that configuration appears on screen. Detailed options can be adjusted later in consultation with an assigned manager.

The app also shows how each monthly fee is calculated, displaying key variables — contract length, annual mileage and upfront payment — so users can compare different products under similar conditions.

Modicar has expanded its service beyond new-car long-term rental quote comparisons and direct financial-company contracts to include special-price vehicles, electric vehicles, and no-credit-check or low-credit vehicles. The latest overhaul aimed to streamline a vehicle-browsing process that had grown more complex as the product lineup expanded.

Parent company AutoHands has also been updating its used-car service. In April, it revamped the certified used-car service on AutoInside, its directly operated certified used-car platform, and widened the vehicle eligibility range from under 100,000 kilometers to under 120,000 kilometers. Purchased vehicles come with a six-month or 10,000-kilometer free warranty.

"Since every customer searches for and buys a vehicle differently, our goal with this overhaul was to support each person's buying process within a single service," said Seo Young-seok, chief executive of Modicar. "We will continue to refine our service so customers can more easily and conveniently find the vehicle and product that suits them."
