11th-anniversary event to feature performances, activities and flea market
The city of Yeosu will hold the "2026 Yeosu Bam Bada Nangman Busking Festival" at Yisunsin Square starting at 5 p.m. on Aug. 15, during the Liberation Day holiday.
Now in its 11th year, the Yeosu Bam Bada Nangman Busking festival has grown into one of the city's signature cultural tourism offerings. This year's edition will look back on the event's 11-year history while giving residents and tourists a summer night to remember.
The event runs from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Experience activities and a flea market open at 5 p.m., with the main performances taking the stage from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
To help build the festival into a globally recognized cultural tourism brand, the city has invited a prominent Thai DJ to kick off the night with an EDM set designed to beat the midsummer heat.
Singer Lee Sang-ung, a 2018 alumnus of the busking festival who recently reached the top 10 on the TV singing competition "Singer Again 4," will then take the stage for a special performance dedicated to the success of the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo.
A group of next-generation performers billed as the festival's future standard-bearers will also appear, rounding out the night with their own sets.
