Hands-on training for non-AI specialists covers full certification process

Companies with 30 or more enrollees get tailored courses; early-bird deadline is Aug. 14

Program launched to meet growing corporate demand for AI skills development

Woongjin SkillOne, the corporate education brand of Woongjin Thinkbig, announced Thursday it is launching a training program for the AICE Basic AI proficiency certification and is now recruiting companies to participate.

AICE Basic is the introductory level of the AICE certification exam, a test of AI and data analysis skills jointly developed by KT Corp and the Korea Economic Daily. The exam targets employees without an AI background, including those interested in AI, new hires and workers looking to change roles.

Woongjin SkillOne will support companies in helping their employees earn the certification by handling the full training process — from setting learning objectives and outlining the curriculum to recruiting participants, tracking attendance and administering the exam. After training concludes, the company will provide a research note covering participation rates and certification outcomes to help companies measure their training results.

The program will be offered as both small open-enrollment sessions and customized group courses for individual companies. Organizations enrolling 30 or more participants will receive a tailored course reflecting their preferred schedule, objectives and target audience. Applications are open through Aug. 14, and early-bird benefits are available to companies that apply.

As corporate demand grows to strengthen employees' practical AI skills, training programs that combine professional certification with hands-on instruction are becoming more common. Woongjin SkillOne plans to link certification attainment with structured training to help companies build foundational AI capabilities across their workforce.

"We designed this program so companies can systematically raise their employees' AI skills and objectively verify the results," said Kim Il-kyung, head of Woongjin Thinkbig's DGP business division. "We will support each company's training needs to help employees strengthen their practical AI capabilities."

Woongjin SkillOne operates customized corporate training programs through global education platforms including Udemy Business, LinkedIn Learning, Coursera and Degreed.
