Children with minor illnesses in the Sinwol and Sinjeong neighborhoods of Yangcheon-gu, Seoul, can now receive specialized outpatient care at a nearby clinic on weekday evenings and holidays.

Yangcheon-gu announced Sunday that it has designated the Better Health 365 Clinic, near Sinjeong Negeori Station, as a dalbit children's hospital — a network of clinics providing after-hours pediatric care. The clinic began operating under the designation this month.

Dalbit children's hospitals treat patients aged 18 and under on weekday evenings as well as weekends and public holidays. The program aims to reduce gaps in care for children with minor conditions who do not require emergency room treatment, while also easing overcrowding at emergency departments.

The Better Health 365 Clinic will operate under the designation for two years starting this month. On weekdays, it will see patients from 9 a.m. to midnight; on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, hours run from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m.

A partner pharmacy, Maeil Yeolin Pharmacy, is located in the same building and will dispense medications daily from 9 a.m. until 1 a.m. the following day.

The district designated the 24-hour Yeolin Clinic in Mok-dong as a dalbit children's hospital in 2024, and that facility continues to operate. "With the expansion of the dalbit children's hospital network from the Mok-dong area to Sinwol and Sinjeong, we have been able to build a more balanced pediatric care system across the district," a Yangcheon-gu official said.

"We will continue to maintain the local pediatric medical infrastructure and improve access to care so that children can receive treatment with peace of mind at any time," Yangcheon-gu Mayor Lee Gi-jae said.
