Actor Jung Ho-yeon made a surprise appearance at the 2026 North and Central America World Cup closing ceremony, drawing the attention of audiences around the world.

Jung took part in the FIFA World Cup Trophy Trunk Ceremony as a Louis Vuitton global ambassador at the closing ceremony held early Monday (Korean Standard Time).

The Trophy Trunk Ceremony is an event held at the finals of major global sporting competitions such as the World Cup, in which the championship trophy is placed in a dedicated trunk and carried into the stadium before being unveiled. Louis Vuitton produced the official trophy trunk for this year's tournament and has been crafting the official World Cup trophy trunk since the 2010 South Africa World Cup.

Before the final kickoff, Jung appeared alongside world-renowned tennis player Carlos Alcaraz to carry out the trunk ceremony, drawing cheers from the crowd. Dressed in a red gown and sneakers, she took the stage at one of the world's most iconic sporting events, again cementing her global influence.

Jung rose to global stardom through the Netflix series "Squid Game" and has since established herself as both an actor and a fashion icon, taking on a range of international projects.
