Golfzon (CEO Park Kang-su) announced Wednesday that it will hold the fifth final round of the 2026 Shinhan Investment GTOUR on Saturday at the Golfzon Joymarou Champions Hall in Daejeon, with a total purse of 100 million won ($67,000) and a first-place prize of 20 million won.
The winner will receive a special entry into the KPGA Dong-A Membership Group Open, scheduled for Aug. 20 to 23, making for a highly competitive field. The entry privilege is available only to players holding a KPGA tour pro license; if the winner does not meet the eligibility requirements, the privilege passes to the next-highest finisher.
The competition will be played over two rounds of 36 holes in a single day using Golfzon's TwoVision NX Tour mode, with the first round beginning at 11 a.m. and the final round at 3:30 p.m. The tournament course is Jangsu Golf Resort, regarded as one of the most challenging and dynamic courses in South Korea. Its layout makes use of existing ridgelines and valleys while demanding strategic course management, adding to the excitement of watching players work the scorecard.
A total of 88 players will compete, including those who advanced through qualifying along with top rookies and invited players. After the first round, a back-count cutoff will reduce the field to the top 64 for the final round. Among the headliners are Kim Hong-taek, the GTOUR all-time wins leader known for excelling in both screen and field golf; Lee Sung-hoon, who has already claimed two victories in the 2026 season; and Choi Min-wook, who added a win at the fourth event to close in on the all-time record. Also in the field are Lee Jun-hee, Kim Jun-hyeong, Jang Jeong-woo, Kim Tae-woo 2 and Lee Yong-hee 1, who have consistently contended near the top of the leaderboard, while Kim Han-byeol and Gong Tae-hyeon will participate as invited players.
The G Tour match-prediction event, which has drawn strong participation from golf fans, carries a total prize of 3 million won this round. Fans can enter through the Golfzon app until 3:30 p.m. on the day of the competition.
