Hollywood actor Tom Cruise is set to make a special appearance at the closing ceremony of the 2026 FIFA North and Central America World Cup, held ahead of the tournament's final.

FIFA announced Wednesday on its official website that Cruise will appear at the closing ceremony before the final.

The final is scheduled to kick off at 4 a.m. Korea Standard Time on Monday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

Cruise is set to take part in the closing ceremony before the match, though details of his performance have not yet been revealed.

News that Cruise — long synonymous with high-octane action — will appear at the ceremony has fueled speculation among football fans that he may stage a skydiving stunt.

FIFA also announced that Jennifer Hudson will perform the United States national anthem before the final.

The governing body said it plans to continue announcing additional special guests ahead of the match.

BTS is set to headline the halftime show alongside Justin Bieber, Madonna and Shakira — marking the first time in World Cup history that a halftime show has been staged during the final.

Meanwhile, Spain secured their place in the final after defeating France 2-0. The winner of the Argentina-England semifinal will face Spain for the title.
