Dobong-gu District Mayor Kim Dong-wook received policy briefings from all district office departments for the first time since taking office.
The Seoul district held its "2026 Second-Half Policy Briefing" over two days, Monday and Tuesday.
Kim presided over the sessions, sharing the administrative goals and policy direction for the elected 9th term. He also reviewed key projects for the second half of this year with staff, examining potential obstacles and ways to address them.
He designated several large-scale undertakings — including the opening of Seoul Arena, the launch of GTX-C line service, the development of a transit hub at Changdong Station, the extension of the Ui-Banghak light rail line, and the redevelopment of the site vacated by a chemical military unit — as projects that will define Dobong-gu's future, and called for swift administrative action on all of them.
The briefing went beyond a routine status update, serving again as an occasion to flesh out the governing philosophy of the elected 9th term. Kim had earlier outlined his resident-centered vision to constituents and staff at the inauguration ceremony on July 8.
"The way this district is run from here on must be a process of fulfilling our promises to residents one by one," Kim said. "Let us find answers in the field, act rather than talk, deliver results rather than plans, and create changes that residents can actually feel."
