SK AX and Technomatrix have joined the consortium behind SK Telecom's proprietary AI foundation model project, known as "Dokpamo."

Through the partnership, SK Telecom aims to combine SK AX's industrial AI transformation capabilities with Technomatrix's manufacturing AI expertise to accelerate its industrial AX push.

SK Telecom announced Tuesday that SK AX and Technomatrix had joined the government-backed Dokpamo project consortium as new members.

SK AX is an AX specialist firm that leads AI innovation projects for customers in manufacturing, telecommunications and media, semiconductors, finance and the public sector. Its dedicated team handles B2B AX use-case identification, proof-of-concept initiatives and the development of frameworks for industry-wide adoption. Technomatrix specializes in AI, machine learning and foundation model operations — known as AI/ML/FM-Ops — and has built up modeling and operational optimization experience across manufacturing, finance and IT.

The SK Telecom elite team within the Dokpamo consortium has also strengthened its collaborative framework, covering model development, data construction, domestic AI semiconductor utilization, service validation, academic research and industrial application. The consortium has divided its internal cooperation into four tracks — model and infrastructure, advanced research, data, and service rollout — to maximize synergies among participating organizations.

Building on this foundation, the elite team developed a proprietary foundation model called A.X K2 for the second-phase evaluation. A.X K2 enhances agentic capabilities — enabling large language models to understand, plan and execute complex tasks — while also prioritizing openness and efficiency for deployment across industrial settings.

The Dokpamo SK Telecom elite team also plans to broaden the applicability of its proprietary AI model across industrial AX, public services and defense, manufacturing, gaming, mobility, search, security and biotech. The team is already expanding AI experiences in everyday life through SK Telecom's key service touchpoints, including A., A. Biz and T map.

Going forward, the team plans to develop the model into a lifestyle-oriented agent capable of information search, schedule coordination and integration with public and private services, allowing people to experience the proprietary AI naturally in their daily lives.
