Porsche Korea announced Monday that it is accepting applications for its "2026 Porsche Frontier Startup" program, a corporate social responsibility initiative run in partnership with the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture to support young entrepreneurs in the arts sector, with the deadline set for July 27.

Now in its third year, the Porsche Frontier Startup program was established to identify and nurture innovative arts business models and broaden the foundation of South Korea's cultural and arts ecosystem. Since 2024, Porsche Korea has supported a total of 10 youth arts startups through the program, with participating companies going on to secure public funding, attract investment, grow sales and forge collaborations with overseas brands.

This year's call for applications is open to Seoul-based companies that have been in operation for at least one year but fewer than five years as of the application announcement date, as well as arts-sector businesses that have carried out operations in Seoul within the past five years. Company representatives must be between 19 and 39 years of age.

Applications are accepted across four fields: planning and producing cultural arts events such as performances and exhibitions; online and offline sales, rental and promotion of artworks and products; commercialization of artworks and development and production of content; and other arts-related services.

This year, graduates of the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture's "Arts Plus Startup Incubating Program" will receive bonus points during evaluation, strengthening the continuum of support from early-stage founding through to growth. Five companies will be selected through a written review and interview process, and each will receive 30 million won ($19,900) in commercialization funding.

Alongside this, the program offers tailored consulting and expert mentoring across 10 pre-accelerating sessions covering business model validation, branding and investment attraction strategies to help selected companies enter the market and scale their operations.

At the "Seoul Youth Arts Startup Festa 2026," scheduled for November, selected companies will have the opportunity to present their business models to investors and the public through a demo day and hands-on booth exhibition. Top-performing companies will also receive additional prize money totaling 15 million won.

Matthias Buse, chief executive of Porsche Korea, said he was pleased to see the Porsche Frontier Startup establish itself as a leading platform for supporting promising startups in the arts. "We will continue to help young people's dreams translate into creative challenges and innovation, and to breathe new energy into the cultural arts industry," he said.

Meanwhile, Porsche Korea continues its corporate social responsibility efforts in the cultural arts sector beyond the Porsche Frontier Startup, including through the "Porsche Frontier Award" at the Seoul Arts Award, a fine arts prize. The company's cumulative donations to the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture stand at 1.1 billion won.
