Actor Son Tae-young said she is a "housewife" when asked about her plans to return to acting.

A video titled "Son Tae-young's beloved New York Seongsu-dong, Chelsea vlog" was posted Sunday on the YouTube channel "Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young," showing her touring New York's Chelsea neighborhood with an acquaintance.

Son visited a cafe with the acquaintance, whom she had come to know through their children's school. While chatting at an outdoor table, the acquaintance carefully asked whether she had any plans to return to acting. "Right now I have no work," Son said. "I'm a housewife."

Son's last acting credit was the MBC drama series "You Are Too Much," which ended its run in 2017.

Actor Lee Seo-jin also came up in conversation. The acquaintance, who knows Lee personally, said he asks about Son whenever they meet. "He asked, 'What is Tae-young up to?' and I told him, 'She's raising the kids and driving them around every day.' He said, 'That suits her — it always did.'"

Son said she had lost track of how many years it had been since she last saw Lee in person, but added that seeing him constantly on television made it feel as though she still sees him regularly. "Oppa, I have a job too," she joked. "Housewife." A caption in the video read: "Also a housewife slash YouTuber."

Son married actor Kwon Sang-woo in 2008. The couple had a son, Rookhee, the following year and a daughter, Riho, in 2015. The family has been living in New Jersey since 2019 for the children's education.
