Seongdong-gu District Chief Yu Bo-hwa made an emergency visit Thursday afternoon to the banks of Jungnangcheon within the district to conduct an on-site inspection in response to heavy rainfall.
With flooding concerns mounting amid a recent surge in sudden downpours, Yu personally assessed conditions at areas along Jungnangcheon considered at high risk of inundation.
Seongdong-gu is operating its flood and storm disaster safety headquarters around the clock as the district maintains an emergency response posture.
