Lotte Tour Development held an unveiling ceremony Tuesday morning for a Korea Service Grand Prix Hall of Fame plaque at the first floor of its Seoul branch in Jongno-gu.
The ceremony marked the company's induction into the Hall of Fame on Friday, when the Korea Standards Association honored Lotte Tour Development at its annual Korea Service Grand Prix. The Hall of Fame recognizes companies that have won the grand prize for five or more consecutive years and passed a review by a panel of expert judges.
Lotte Tour Development Chairman Kim Ki-byung, President and CEO Baek Hyun, Korea Standards Association Chairman Moon Dong-min and other officials attended the ceremony.
Lotte Tour Development introduced South Korea's first charter-flight travel product in 2000, then launched a charter-vessel cruise business in 2010 to help bring cruise travel to a wider domestic audience. In 2024, the company officially launched its premium brand "HIGH&," releasing business-class travel products as part of an ongoing expansion of its travel product lineup.
A second Hall of Fame plaque is set to be installed at the Jeju Dream Tower complex resort, which Lotte Tour Development operates.
"Since our founding in 1971, we have made customer satisfaction our top priority through countless changes and challenges, and I am deeply pleased that those efforts have borne such meaningful fruit," Chairman Kim said. "We will continue to create differentiated services and new travel experiences to contribute to the growth of South Korea's travel industry."
