Tiger Research announced Tuesday it has signed a strategic partnership with Finloop, a Hong Kong-based fintech company specializing in real-world asset (RWA) tokenization.

The two companies plan to publish joint RWA research targeting the South Korean and Hong Kong markets and produce and distribute related education content. They will also assess the feasibility of RWA asset issuance, tokenization and distribution, and develop concrete implementation plans.

Finloop is an RWA fintech company backed by Fosun Wealth Holdings, a subsidiary of Fosun International, a financial conglomerate listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The company operates FinRWA, an integrated platform for RWA issuance and distribution, and is engaged in the tokenization of real-world assets and their global distribution.

This marks the first official partnership Finloop has formed with a South Korean company. The firm said it is entering the South Korean market ahead of the country's planned introduction of a security token offering (STO) regime in February 2027.

"Over the past three years, we have translated our research into Chinese and distributed it to media outlets in Hong Kong, Taiwan and other Chinese-speaking markets to expand our reach," said Kim Gyu-jin, CEO of Tiger Research. "Through this collaboration, we aim to raise the level of information and transparency in Korea's RWA ecosystem and deliver insights on the Korean market to Chinese-speaking investors and institutions."

Cai Hua, CEO of Finloop, said the company has proven experience in RWA issuance and global distribution. "Building on our collaboration with Tiger Research, we will expand education and issuance services for Korea's RWA market," he said.

Tiger Research is a blockchain research firm founded in 2022. It has provided Web3 market research and strategic advisory services to more than 100 global blockchain foundations and over 150 institutions. Last month, the company signed a strategic MOU with Chainalysis, a global blockchain data analytics firm, and announced plans to co-host seminars and conferences for major domestic institutions.
