North Gyeongsang Province announced Wednesday that it is holding a "Daily Gyeongbuk Summer Fruit Special Exhibition" at Hanaro Mart stores nationwide through July 15.
Daily is the province's integrated premium fruit brand. All produce is inspected, sorted and shipped by agricultural product processing centers.
The event is being held at 60 Hanaro Mart locations across the country, with 96 metric tons of white peaches and plums to be supplied. The province expects the event to generate sales of 470 million won ($302,000).
Promotions include bonus quantity giveaways and credit card discounts of up to 27 percent.
In May, the province held a "Daily Gyeongbuk Apple Special Exhibition" at 60 Hanaro Mart stores nationwide, selling out 90 metric tons and recording sales of 510 million won.
"We will continue to boost the competitiveness of North Gyeongsang fruit and work to increase farm household income through a variety of consumer-promotion events," said Park Chan-guk, director of the province's agriculture, livestock and retail bureau.
