CJ Logistics announced Tuesday that it is launching a customer-participation donation campaign called "Uri-ga O-ne" in partnership with Woori Financial Group and the Milal Welfare Foundation.

The campaign was organized as part of an MOU the three organizations signed in April to promote job creation for people with developmental disabilities and foster a culture of giving. Proceeds from the sale of donated items will go toward creating stable employment and supporting the independence of people with developmental disabilities.

Woori Financial will operate an online donation channel and handle campaign promotion, while CJ Logistics will manage the collection and delivery of donated goods. The Milal Welfare Foundation will sort and sell the donations, using the proceeds to employ people with developmental disabilities across its 49 Goodwill stores nationwide.

The campaign runs throughout July. Customers who wish to participate can gather unwanted clothing, accessories and household goods, then apply to donate through the "O-ne" app or the campaign banner within the "Woori WON Banking" app. To encourage participation, 200 donors selected by lottery will receive CJ gift certificates and Goodwill donation-box merchandise.

"We joined this campaign so that customers' small acts of giving can translate into greater social value through our logistics network," a CJ Logistics official said. "We will continue to expand ESG (environmental, social and governance) activities that engage local communities by leveraging CJ Logistics' logistics capabilities."

Meanwhile, CJ Logistics recently signed an MOU with the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation focused on rural community cooperation and the application of logistics expertise, and has been carrying out volunteer work at farms as part of its broader corporate social responsibility efforts.
