Co-branded card with Porsche-specific benefits set for launch
Partnership aims to broaden marketing synergies across channels
Porsche Korea announced Tuesday that it has signed a strategic MOU with Samsung Card to launch a Porsche-branded co-branded card and expand luxury brand customer experiences.
The signing ceremony, held at Porsche Studio Cheongdam, brought together Porsche Korea CEO Matthias Buse and Samsung Card President Kim I-tae along with other senior officials from both companies. The two sides agreed to build a strategic partnership leveraging each company's strengths to deliver differentiated benefits and brand experiences to customers.
Under the agreement, the two companies plan to launch a co-branded card featuring Porsche-specific benefits in the third quarter of this year and expand marketing synergies through a range of collaborative programs linking online and offline channels.
In addition, the partnership will connect various touchpoints across the entire customer journey — including Porsche's official after-sales service, vehicle use, charging and luxury lifestyle offerings — into a single integrated experience suited to the era of electrification.
"This agreement will serve as an important foundation for extending Porsche's unique brand values and lifestyle further into the everyday lives of our customers," Buse said. "Together with Samsung Card, we will continue to create opportunities for both existing Porsche customers and a broader audience who share our brand values to experience Porsche in diverse moments and connect more closely with the brand."
Meanwhile, Porsche Korea is the 17th subsidiary of Porsche AG, which marks its 78th anniversary this year. The Korean unit has handled official Porsche imports and retail distribution since Jan. 1, 2014.
