A maritime fountain at Daepohang port in Sokcho — a harbor long dogged by price-gouging complaints — will resume operation Wednesday.

The fountain will run from July through October, twice nightly at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. every Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with each show lasting 25 minutes.

Installed in 2020, the Daepohang maritime fountain has operated every year since and has become the port's signature nighttime attraction. Jets of water shoot to varying heights and in different formations in sync with music, while multicolored LED lights create a vivid aquatic display.
