Franchise expansion accelerates after South Bank opening in March

Paris Baguette has opened its seventh UK store in the Richmond area of London, the company announced Tuesday.

The Richmond store seats 95 and sits on George Street, the heart of the district's commercial zone. Richmond ranks among London's premium retail areas, known for its high purchasing power. Its proximity to Richmond station, the Thames River and other major attractions draws a steady flow of international tourists.

The interior features Paris Baguette's signature design elements — a blue metal facade, marble counters and wood-tone finishes. The store offers croissant sandwiches, cakes and beverages that have proven popular in the European market.

In March, the company opened its sixth UK location in South Bank, a 126-seat store in one of London's most prominent mixed-use districts, home to world-class cultural and tourism landmarks including the London Eye, Tate Modern and the National Theatre.

Paris Baguette entered the UK market in 2022 and has been expanding its franchise operations since opening its first franchised outlet at Canary Wharf in 2024, with the Richmond store marking its latest step. "We will strengthen our brand's competitiveness in Europe — the home of bread — and raise the profile of K-bakery," a company official said.
