A practice grenade was found at the site of a protest blocking a vote-counting center at the handball arena in Seoul Olympic Park.

According to police, the Songpa Police Station in Seoul received a report Monday at noon that an object suspected to be a grenade had been found near the entrance of the handball arena.

A volunteer at the scene discovered the grenade and reported it to authorities.

The grenade was identified as a practice model without a detonator.

Police are investigating how the grenade ended up at the site.
