Chef Yoon Nam-no has shared an update on his noticeably slimmer appearance, attributing the weight loss to the pressures of running his restaurant.

A video titled "First Look: Jang Yoon-jung's Agency Dinner and Welfare Vlog" was posted Wednesday on the YouTube channel "Janggongjangjangyoonjeong."

Singer Jang Yoon-jung visited Yoon's restaurant in Apgujeong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, that day for a staff dinner with her employees.

Upon seeing Yoon, Jang remarked that he looked like he had lost weight. "I'm usually the type who doesn't lose weight easily, but this time I actually did," Yoon said.

He added that the weight had come off even though he had been eating more — ramyun and all sorts of other food — and said the stress of preparing to open his new restaurant had taken a toll.

"When I'm working, I don't eat at all. Stress gives me indigestion," he said. When Jang called him a "sensitive guy," Yoon replied that cooking requires more focus than people might expect, adding that he normally enjoys going out, drinking and socializing.

When Jang asked whether he ever gets a day off, Yoon said his days off are spent filming the cooking show "Please Take Care of My Refrigerator" and making YouTube content, with most of his remaining time spent at the restaurant.

Yoon rose to prominence through the 2024 Netflix reality competition "Black and White Chef," where he competed under the nickname "The Cooking Madman." He subsequently opened his first restaurant in Apgujeong, Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, in April, taking on 600 million won ($388,000) in debt to do so.
