Ably will hold its "Bread Pilgrimage" Busan edition from June 29 through July 1.
The Bread Pilgrimage event lets customers order products from popular local bakeries through the Ably app and receive free delivery on purchases of 20,490 won ($16) or more, with no minimum per bakery.
Eleven Busan bakeries are taking part in this edition, including local favorites Heodaeppang and Creamy. Orders can be placed daily from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Bread Pilgrimage series launched in March and has steadily expanded its geographic reach — from Seoul neighborhoods such as Mangwon, Seongsu and Mapo to Daejeon and now Busan.
The response has been strong. Transaction volume for the February event more than doubled compared with the previous edition, up 108 percent, while the number of buyers rose about 80 percent. Partner bakery sales also climbed: brands including Hwahwahwa, Live in Afternoon and Milomil sold out within three minutes of going on sale. "1994 Yanggwajeom," a two-time consecutive participant, saw its transaction volume rise 69 percent in February compared with the prior event.
"We plan to consistently discover distinctive bakeries from across the country and steadily introduce product lineups that satisfy the diverse tastes of our users," an Ably official said.
