The committee identified policy tasks rooted in AI, future, innovation and happiness values and reviewed campaign pledge implementation plans — with briefings chaired by the mayor-elect on June 25 and June 29 for a final check on the district's governing direction.
The mayoral transition committee for Mapo-gu's 7th elected term (chaired by Hwang In-guk) concluded its departmental briefing series — which began June 16 — with supplementary reports and follow-up questions on June 23 and 24.
All Mapo-gu departments and affiliated bodies, including the Mapo Welfare Foundation, Mapo Culture Foundation and Mapo Facilities Management Corporation, participated in the briefings, presenting key projects, pending issues and campaign pledge implementation plans.
During the sessions, transition committee members and advisers closely reviewed the progress of major pending issues and offered a range of views on efficient budget management and policy directions that would be more tangible to residents.
They also examined the feasibility and strategies for fulfilling the 7th-term campaign pledges, sketching out the overall framework for running the district government.
The committee focused particularly on analyzing the outcomes and limitations of existing projects through the lens of the 7th term's core values — AI, future, innovation and happiness — and identifying new policy tasks capable of responding to a rapidly changing administrative environment.
Based on the briefing results, the committee plans to hold a final plenary session on June 26 to flesh out policy implementation measures for the 7th elected term.
Briefing sessions chaired by the mayor-elect are also scheduled for June 25 and June 29, during which key departmental issues and campaign pledge implementation plans will be closely examined and the governing direction for realizing the 7th-term vision will receive a final review.
