CFS 'Wow the Korea' campaign honors national patriots
Coupang Fulfillment Services (CFS) announced Monday that it conducted a cemetery cleanup at Daejeon National Cemetery in honor of June's Month of National Patriots and Veterans.
The cleanup was part of the "Wow the Korea" patriotism campaign under CFS's corporate social responsibility program. About 20 participants joined, including CFS CEO Jeong Jong-cheol and employees from the Daejeon 1 Center. The group paid their respects at the memorial tower, offered incense, and then carried out environmental cleanup work at the soldiers' burial grounds, including headstone maintenance and waste collection.
CFS employees run monthly campaigns on different themes. These include "Wow the Korea," focused on patriotism; "Wow the Forest," centered on tree planting; and "Wow the Society," which supports marginalized communities. In May, to mark Family Month, the company delivered care packages — dubbed "Wow Companion Bundles" — containing daily necessities to 80 single-person elderly households in the Ungdong area of Jinhae-gu, Changwon.
"We will continue to remember those who dedicated themselves to the country and carry out a variety of activities that put our love for the nation into practice," Jeong said.
