Daegu Health College's Lifelong Education Institute held a capacity-building human rights training program for workers at disability day-use facilities from June 15 to 17 at Room 7402 in the Inding Building on campus.

The program was designed to deepen participants' understanding of their job responsibilities and strengthen their ability to deliver human rights-friendly services.

Organized in partnership with the Daegu Association of Disability Day-Use Facilities, the training drew 150 workers from disability day-use facilities across the region.

Park Hui-ok, director of the Lifelong Education Institute and a professor in the nursing department, said an environment of mutual respect between service users and workers is the foundation of healthy welfare services. "I hope this training raises human rights awareness on the ground and helps spread a culture of human rights-friendly service," she said.
