The Gyeonggi Tourism Corp. announced Monday it will hold the "2026 Gyeonggi Province Tourism Photo Contest."

The contest calls for unpublished works taken on or after Jan. 1, 2025, capturing the scenic beauty of Gyeonggi Province for tourism promotion purposes.

Submissions will be accepted from Monday through Sept. 4, and the contest is open to all participants regardless of nationality. Each entrant may submit up to two works, and all entries must be free of AI-generated elements. The organizer is also adding a dedicated smartphone category to broaden participation beyond professional photographers to the general public.

"With the new smartphone category, we expect greater public participation and hope to uncover the hidden scenic spots of Gyeonggi Province tucked away in people's everyday lives," an official from the Gyeonggi Tourism Corp. said. "We encourage everyone to step forward without hesitation so that the stunning landscapes sleeping in personal photo albums can serve as the best ambassadors for Gyeonggi Province."
