Ansan Mayor Lee Min-geun said the Ansan e-sports festival "has established itself as the city's signature gaming culture festival where youth and residents come together to enjoy and connect."
The city of Ansan will hold the 2026 Ansan E-sports Festival, its flagship gaming culture event, at Sangnoksu Kim Yeon-kyung Gymnasium on Aug. 29, and is now accepting applications from competitors for the e-sports tournament preliminaries.
Now in its fourth year, the event will feature e-sports tournament finals alongside a range of hands-on and participatory programs, creating a festival space where residents and youth can enjoy gaming culture together.
The e-sports competition will be divided into a local tournament open to Ansan residents and a national open tournament.
The national tournament will debut Tales Runner, a casual game newly added to this year's lineup. A cosplay performance contest, which drew strong interest last year, will also return.
