Gyeonggi Province announced Monday that it held the "2026 Gyeonggi Province Medical Cooperation Forum" at the Healthcare Innovation Park of Bundang Seoul National University Hospital.

Hosted by Gyeonggi Province and organized by Bundang Seoul National University Hospital, the forum was designed to support research, development and commercialization efforts by companies in the medical AI and digital healthcare sectors.

Held under the theme "From AI Innovation Technology to Commercialization," the forum featured speakers including Lee Seung-beom, a team leader at the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service; Noh Mi-sook, a center director at the Korea Testing Certification; Park Min-sik, a vice president at venture investment firm SV Investment; and Park Ji-young, president of medical device company Jiriphe Co. The speakers covered four key topics relevant to AI medical device development and commercialization: how to leverage the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service's health and medical big data; market entry strategies for medical device companies; approaches to global medical device certification and regulatory approval; and biotech investment attraction strategies. They also shared practical measures to help companies translate their research and development results into market success.
