Dayang Electric, DR Mobility, New Risen among those selected; honorees to receive workplace improvement grants, tax audit deferrals

The Busan city government and the Busan Economic Promotion Agency announced Monday they have named 15 companies as "2026 Outstanding Employment Companies" in recognition of their job-creation efforts amid high interest rates and elevated prices.

To qualify, companies must be headquartered and primarily operating in Busan across any industry — manufacturing, services or otherwise — and have been in business for at least three years. Eligibility thresholds, measured against a three-year period ending last year, vary by company size: firms with 300 or more employees must have added at least 20 full-time workers; those with 100 to 299 employees must have added at least 15; and those with fewer than 100 employees must have added at least 10.

The city has run the Outstanding Employment Companies program annually since 2010, and this year's cohort brings the cumulative total to 321 firms. A public call for applications in February drew 68 submissions, which were then screened through document review, on-site evaluation and a selection committee before the final 15 were chosen.

Among companies with 300 or more employees, the honorees are Dayang Electric Industry Co. (CEO Seo Young-woo), KIM Co. (CEOs Kim Jong-ryul and Park Geon-woo), Work Rehabilitation Hospital (CEO Kim Jae-woo and five others), and Keunseol Hospital under Youngjae Medical Foundation (CEO Bae Young-il). In the 100-to-299-employee category, the selected firms are DR Mobility Co. (CEOs Lee Tae-hun and Lee Jeong-hun), Cowell Medi Co. (CEO Choi Hyeon-myeong), Locardi Co. (CEOs Park Young-wook and Park Ji-sang), and Hansun Engineering Co. (CEO Lee Je-hun).

Companies with fewer than 100 employees named to the list are New Risen Co. (CEO Lee Seung-wook), Cite Planning Architecture Office Co. (CEO Han Young-suk), Daebong Giyeon Co. (CEO Park Jun-seok), Ato Trade Co. (CEO Yoon Seong-woong), Just Company Co. (CEO Kim Beom-jun), Ants Co. (CEOs An Tae-seong and Kim Tae-young), and Rope Camp Co. (CEO Yoon Gang-ho).

Each honoree will receive a certificate and a commemorative plaque, along with a workplace improvement grant of 40 million won ($26,300), an acquisition tax exemption on newly purchased business real estate, and a deferral of local tax audits. Certifications are valid for three years. A certificate presentation ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the main conference room of Busan City Hall, with about 50 attendees including the chief executives of the selected companies.
