Starting next month, the hands-on program will recruit 120 young people in Seoul and Yeosu as part of GS's participation in the K-New Deal Academy initiative.

GS announced Monday that it will launch a youth education program called the 52g Reboot Camp starting next month.

The program comes as part of GS's participation in the K-New Deal Academy, a talent development initiative jointly run by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy.

The 52g Reboot Camp is a hands-on training program aimed at young people struggling with job preparation and employment. GS will recruit 120 participants across Seoul and Yeosu and provide 520 hours of instruction. The program aims to build practical AI skills among young talent and equip them with the problem-solving capabilities that real-world work environments demand.

The program will be jointly run as a consortium by 52g, GS Group's innovation community, and Carrot Global, a corporate education specialist. 52g will draw on experience accumulated through the GS Group Hackathon and more than 230 on-site innovation projects. The curriculum covers design thinking, generative AI application exercises, mentoring by industry practitioners and field-based projects.

Participants will also have access to a hands-on learning environment using MISO, GS's proprietary AI platform, allowing them to build their own prototypes through customized learning. Carrot Global will handle curriculum design and learning operations to strengthen the program's overall quality.

GS plans to continue supporting participants after the program ends, offering portfolio development assistance and networking opportunities to help them advance their job searches and enter the workforce. Applications for the 52g Reboot Camp open June 22.

"Drawing on our field-centered AI transformation expertise, we will support young people who are struggling with job preparation and employment — helping them regain confidence and discover new possibilities through the K-New Deal Academy," a GS official said.

Meanwhile, GS has been running a range of programs to strengthen its employees' AI transformation, or AX, capabilities. A notable example is 52g Day, the company's AX conference, which was held May 22.
