9th Youth Technology Assessment Corps now recruiting through July 3

Korea Technology Finance Corporation, known as KOTEC, announced Monday it is recruiting participants for the 9th cohort of its Youth Technology Assessment Corps, a program open to young job seekers.

The program sends youth participants into the field alongside KOTEC staff to visit small and medium-sized venture companies and experience firsthand how technology assessments are conducted. It is designed to let participants directly evaluate the technological capabilities and employment potential of those companies.

Applicants must be between 19 and 34 years old. The recruitment window runs from Monday through July 3, and KOTEC will select 170 participants through a document screening process.

Selected corps members will accompany KOTEC staff on visits to small and medium venture companies across various regions to observe and take part in technology assessment work. After each site visit, participants will write either a personal account of the experience or a proposal for improving working conditions for young employees.

KOTEC plans to share the materials produced by corps members on its official blog and use them to publicize the technological strengths and job opportunities available at small and medium venture companies. Participants who complete the program will receive a stipend and a certificate of completion, and outstanding members will be recognized with awards.

"Now in its ninth year, we hope the Youth Technology Assessment Corps gives young people a chance to directly experience the outstanding technology and growth potential of small and medium venture companies, and to broaden their career horizons," said KOTEC director Cheon Chang-ho. "KOTEC will continue to provide a variety of hands-on work experience opportunities so that young people can feel the value of technology and employment at company sites."
