Yeongcheon City in North Gyeongsang Province held the 2026 Youth Career and College Fair on Saturday at the Yeongcheon Gymnasium, drawing strong interest from local students and parents.

Held under the slogan "Let's Go — Dreams Come True," the fair was funded through a special education development grant.

Nearby universities, including Kumoh National Institute of Technology and the Army Third Officers' Academy, along with local vocational schools such as North Gyeongsang Biotech Meister High School and North Gyeongsang Human Tech High School, took part and offered a range of information on career paths, college admissions and entrance requirements.

More than 20 hands-on booths — including experiences for aspiring webtoon artists and virtual reality developers — moved the event beyond conventional college counseling, blending career exploration with a cultural festival atmosphere.

A highlight of the opening ceremony was the Youth Dream Speaker Showcase, a career speech competition in which student representatives took the stage to present their aspirations and future plans with confidence.

A talk show that followed, titled "Communication Queen Maljahalmae Show," gave students a chance to share their concerns about careers and academics and receive tailored advice in an open, empathetic setting.
