K-pop group Jewelry has reunited for the first time in 20 years, putting longstanding rumors of internal conflict to rest.

All five members — Seo In-young, Park Jung-ah, Lee Ji-hyun, Jo Ha-rang (formerly Jo Min-ah) and Ha Ju-yeon — appeared together in a video posted Friday on Seo In-young's YouTube channel "Gaegwacheonson Seo In-young."

The group performed hits from their peak years, including "Baby One More Time" and "Ni-ga Cham Joah."

The members, who each faced personal hardships after the group's active years, appeared more mature and resilient. Seo In-young, Lee Ji-hyun and Jo Ha-rang have all been through divorce.

Jo Ha-rang's appearance in the video drew particular attention. Known during her performing days as Jo Min-ah, she has since changed her name and now works as an insurance planner.

After the performance, Jo Ha-rang said she was glad to see her friend back in the spotlight. "I'm so happy that someone I care about so deeply is receiving this love again and getting to show all her talent just as she always was," she said, addressing Seo In-young.

The two had been at the center of a public falling-out. In 2023, Jo Min-ah alleged on social media that she had been bullied within the group for more than three years. "I always felt like a human ashtray because someone was constantly smoking in the car," she wrote. She added that she was eventually barred from riding in the same vehicle as the other members and had to travel separately with the dancers. Seo In-young married her former husband in 2023, and Jo Ha-rang was not among the wedding guests.

Seo In-young later acknowledged on a YouTube program that she had not invited Jo Ha-rang to the wedding. "Looking back now, that was my own shortcoming," she said. She added that although the two had once spent a lot of time together, she had been the one to cut off contact, calling it "something I'm sorry to Min-ah for."

Seo In-young had fallen out of public favor after a series of controversies, but she has since made a comeback by launching her YouTube channel and reflecting publicly on her past. Her return appears to have brought the rest of Jewelry back together around her.

Seo In-young is set to remarry later this year, with her partner reported to be Choi Ji-hoon, CEO of content and creative company NP. Anticipation is growing that the full Jewelry lineup will attend the wedding to celebrate her new chapter.
