Eight sessions run from July 4 to July 27 at Seoul Youth Center Dongdaemun, covering personal finance, real estate contracts, home organization and basic repairs
Seoul's Dongdaemun-gu district office will run the "2026 Youth Lifestyle Academy" throughout July.
The Youth Lifestyle Academy is an education program designed to help young residents build self-reliance and establish a stable foundation for daily life.
Drawing on last year's results, the district office is focusing this year on two areas of high demand: economic life (real estate investment and shares) and residential life (home organization and basic repairs), with more in-depth content than before.
The Economic Life Academy is tailored to the practical needs of workers in their 20s and 30s. Sessions cover personal finance basics and how to use savings accounts, deposits and ETFs; how to use housing subscription accounts and jeonse loans, along with key points to watch in real estate contracts; and hands-on share investment knowledge and corporate valuation.
The Residential Life Academy covers space utilization, wardrobe organization and household management, kitchen storage and cleaning practice, as well as practical tool use and simple home repairs such as changing light bulbs.
The program runs from July 4 to July 27 for a total of eight sessions. Starting this year, sessions are offered on both weekday evenings and Saturday afternoons to accommodate working youth. Classes will be held at Seoul Youth Center Dongdaemun in Hoegi-dong.
The district office is accepting applications through June 26. The program is open to people between the ages of 19 and 39 who live or are active in Dongdaemun-gu, and registration is available online. Spots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis for each program.
"This Lifestyle Academy has been substantially redesigned around participants' needs so that young people can address the financial and residential vulnerabilities they face in daily life and build genuine self-reliance," a district office official said. "We will continue to be a solid support so that young people can steadily plan their futures and grow into healthy, independent individuals here in Dongdaemun-gu."
