Only Korean carrier to post 90%-plus international load factor

Parata Air said Friday it has held the top spot in international load factors among South Korean carriers for three consecutive months, based on aviation statistics compiled by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

The airline carried 71,633 passengers on 78,368 available international seats in the most recent tally, achieving a load factor of 91.4 percent — the highest among all South Korean carriers, including both full-service carriers and low-cost carriers.

Parata Air was the only South Korean airline to exceed 90 percent on international routes during the period. Other major domestic carriers posted international load factors in the mid-to-high 80 percent range.

The airline has been investing in in-flight service quality under its philosophy that "the flight is where the journey begins," offering wide seat pitch, signature in-flight meals and complimentary signature beverages since its early days of operation. Ahead of its planned launch of new Incheon–Sapporo and Incheon–Hanoi routes in July, the carrier is also preparing new in-flight menus developed in collaboration with a well-known chef.

"Being able to maintain first place in international load factors for three consecutive months in a highly competitive environment is thanks to the support of our customers and the dedication of our staff," a Parata Air official said. "As we head into the summer travel season and prepare to launch the Hanoi and Sapporo routes, we will focus even more on safe operations and improving service quality."

Meanwhile, Parata Air launched its first commercial domestic flights last September and October on the Yangyang–Jeju and Gimpo–Jeju routes, respectively. The carrier then expanded internationally in November with services to Incheon–Tokyo (Narita), Incheon–Da Nang, Incheon–Phu Quoc and Incheon–Nha Trang, followed by Incheon–Osaka (Kansai) in December, bringing its international network to five routes.
