Daegu Mayor-elect Choo Kyung-ho holds a press briefing for his mayoral transition committee at the Daegu Contents Center in Dong-gu, Daegu, on June 8.

The mayoral transition committee for Daegu Mayor-elect Choo Kyung-ho announced Thursday that it will operate a public feedback channel to gather residents' opinions.

Starting Thursday, residents can submit policy proposals and ideas for ordinance revisions covering a broad range of city affairs — from everyday inconveniences to the economy, culture, welfare and transportation — as well as suggested slogans for the ninth directly elected mayoral term.

To participate, residents can visit the main page of the Daegu city website, click the "Participate" button on the transition committee banner, and submit feedback through the public opinion board after completing identity verification and filling in a title and content.

"Good policy comes not from behind a desk but from the lives of residents," Choo said. "We will listen carefully to every voice and reflect public input in the incoming administration." He added that residents know Daegu best. "We will work together with citizens to revive the Daegu economy and reawaken the city's potential," he said.
