Survey open through June 30 on space design and facility needs for the Jungnang Startup Support Center, with results to shape a more effective entrepreneurship hub for startups and residents
Jungnang-gu is moving to shape the layout and operational direction of the Jungnang Startup Support Center by incorporating feedback from local startups and residents, district Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi announced.
The Jungnang Startup Support Center is a mixed-use entrepreneurship complex being developed jointly with the Seoul Housing and Urban Development Corporation (SH Corporation). The first and second floors will house the startup support center and community spaces, while floors three through 12 will provide 141 units for resident startup companies.
The district conducted an initial demand survey in 2024. The new survey is designed to capture how startup needs have shifted since then — reflecting changes in the entrepreneurship landscape and the latest industry trends — while gathering input from a broad range of stakeholders, including existing startups, aspiring entrepreneurs and general residents.
The survey runs through June 30. Residents can participate via a link or QR code posted on the Jungnang-gu Office website and official social media channels. Paper questionnaires will also be distributed to startup-related facilities, universities and community centers across the district to reach a wider audience.
The district plans to use the findings to finalize the center's spatial layout, support facilities and operational programs, with the goal of establishing a practical startup hub that meaningfully contributes to the local entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Construction on the Jungnang Startup Support Center is scheduled to break ground in the second half of 2026, with completion targeted for 2028.
"We will actively reflect diverse opinions so that the startup support center can be built into an effective space that contributes to the growth of startups and the revitalization of the local economy," district Mayor Ryu said. "We look forward to the enthusiastic participation and interest of startups and residents."
