Yecheon-gun in North Gyeongsang Province is accepting applications for the "Masters Runner Special Lecture," a two-day marathon training program to be held June 27-28 at the Korea Athletics Federation's Athletics Education and Training Center, the county announced Wednesday.

Hwang Young-jo, who won the marathon gold medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, will lead the sessions, sharing expertise on proper running form and injury prevention.

Registration is open to marathon enthusiasts nationwide on a first-come, first-served basis, with 70 spots available. Applications close June 18.

The participation fee is 100,000 won (about $66).

Participants will receive a single-occupancy room, a commemorative T-shirt, Yecheon Love gift vouchers and breakfast.
