Summer Play season opens June 19; half the park converted to water zone

Legoland Korea is converting half its park into a water play area as it gears up for the summer season.

The theme park will officially open its summer season, "Summer Play," on June 19. To mark the launch, it will introduce a new water attraction and designate half the park as a "Wet Zone" centered on water activities.

The headline addition this season is Water Bucket, a large water tower standing 5.9 meters tall. Every minute, it releases 400 liters of water in a single cascade from roughly 5 meters above. Just before the water drops, a water wheel spins and rings a bell. The surrounding waiting area is also equipped with an aqua shower feature that continuously sprays jets of water.

Legoland will also operate a water play zone spanning half the park — from Marina Jet Bay at the entrance of the City zone through to the Pirate's Shore zone. Marina Jet Bay is a large ground-level fountain covering roughly 990 square meters, installed in the City zone last year, with 150 nozzles that shoot water jets up to 5 meters high. With Water Bucket now added alongside it, visitors can enjoy both the ground fountains and the overhead water drop at the same time.

Other water attractions include Wave Racer, a ride where guests dodge splashing waves, and Splash Battle, where visitors engage in water fights. Mist zones will also be set up throughout the park. A water pool facility is scheduled to open for a limited period during the season as well.

Throughout Summer Play, the park will also host a range of performances, hands-on programs and participatory events themed around "the joy of summer play." Detailed information on the summer season lineup is available on the official website and social media channels.
