Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang threw the ceremonial first pitch Sunday at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul. His meeting with Doosan Group Chairman Park Jung-won drew attention to the prospect of deeper AI cooperation between the two companies.

Huang arrived at the stadium at 4:14 p.m. ahead of the Doosan Bears home game and exchanged a handshake and greetings with Park. When reporters asked for his thoughts on throwing the first pitch, Huang said he wanted to "focus on the pitch."

Huang took the mound wearing a jersey bearing No. 93, representing the year Nvidia was founded. Park stepped up as the ceremonial batter. Doosan's foreign pitcher Zack Logue coached Huang on his delivery, while catcher Yang Eui-ji guided Park at the plate.

Ahead of the ceremony, Doosan Group hung a banner at the stadium entrance reading: "Welcome NVIDIA: Our Partnership — It All Starts Here."

The two companies have been broadening their collaboration from AI semiconductor supply chains to physical AI. Doosan's electronics business group supplies Nvidia with high-end copper-clad laminate, a key material used in AI accelerators.

The meeting also raised expectations for closer ties with Doosan Robotics and Doosan Bobcat. In April, Madison Huang, Nvidia's senior director of product marketing for Omniverse and robotics, visited Doosan Robotics to discuss plans for developing industrial humanoid robots. The two companies have outlined a shared vision to commercialize intelligent robot solutions in 2027 and industrial humanoid robots in 2028.

Meanwhile, Huang's well-documented fondness for Korean fried chicken was on display again Sunday. Nvidia ordered 113 pieces of crunchy boneless chicken Saturday from a BBQ outlet inside Jamsil Baseball Stadium. The order was delivered to a group seating area on the second floor, where Nvidia employees and Huang's family watched the game.
